Fridget is published by Verino Calis, an individual developer based in Croatia ("we", "us"). These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and us. They are not an agreement with Apple or Google, who are not responsible for the app or its content.

By downloading, installing, or using Fridget, you agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Fridget.
Fridget is a mobile application that helps you:
Fridget is currently free to use. There are no purchases, subscriptions or advertising in the app. If we introduce paid features in future, we will tell you in advance and existing features you rely on will not silently become paid.
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export or delete your data.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use Fridget on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with the usage rules of the app store you installed it from. This licence does not transfer any ownership.

AI features are subject to a daily per-account request limit, enforced on our servers, to keep the service affordable and available to everyone. If you hit the limit, the feature becomes available again the following day. We may adjust the limit, and we may suspend AI access for accounts that attempt to bypass it.
Recipes and meal plans are suggestions generated by an AI model, not advice from a nutritionist, doctor or food safety professional. They can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for you.
You are responsible for what you cook and eat. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for allergic reactions, illness or other harm arising from following a generated suggestion.
Expiry reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee. Notifications can be delayed, suppressed by your device, or missed entirely, and the dates come from what you or a product database entered. Never rely on Fridget alone to decide whether food is safe to eat — check the product and your own senses.
Product information from barcode scans comes from Open Food Facts, a third-party open database, and from entries made by users. We cannot guarantee:
Verify product information independently, particularly anything relevant to allergies. Product details retrieved from a scan may be cached and reused to speed up scans for other users; this cache holds product facts only, with no link to you.
Voice input uses your device's speech recognition, which may process audio on Apple's or Google's servers rather than on your device. Transcription is imperfect — review the items it produces before saving them. See our Privacy Policy for details on how voice data is handled.
When you invite members to your household:
Only invite people you trust with the contents of your household.
You keep ownership of the content you enter — inventory items, shopping lists, notes and preferences. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process and display that content in order to operate the app for you and for household members you have invited, including sending the relevant parts to the AI provider named in our Privacy Policy when you request a recipe or meal plan.
The app itself — its code, design, name and branding — belongs to us and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Except where mandatory law says otherwise, you may not:
Fridget relies on third-party services, listed in our Privacy Policy. Your use of the app must comply with those providers' applicable terms, and they are third-party beneficiaries of this section. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or conduct.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant:
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from your use of the app. Because Fridget is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to EUR 50 or the amount you have paid us, whichever is greater.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, this limitation applies only to the extent permitted by consumer protection law, and your statutory rights are unaffected.
You may stop using Fridget and delete your account at any time from Account → Delete Account in the app. Deletion is permanent.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm the service or other users. Where practical and lawful, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond.
We may modify these terms. The "Last Updated" date reflects the current version. For significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after that point means you accept the updated terms; if you do not accept them, delete your account.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Croatia.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Fridget.
